Yes, confidentiality is paramount. What is shared in the group stays in the group to create a safe and trusting space for all members.
Who can join the grief support groups?
Our support groups are open to any adult dealing with grief of any form. All are welcome to join and find comfort among peers.
Is this a clinical group?
Our group is comprised of individuals who have the shared experience of grief, including facilitators. If you're looking for a clinical group, there are two options within Rocky Mount: Griefshare through Franklin Heights Baptist Church and a grief support group facilitated by Carilion professionals at the Essig Center.
Are you part of Viyda?
No, we are an independent peer-founded group. Viyda was kind enough to donate their space once a week for us to use.
How do I contact Hope in Grief for more information?
You can contact us through our website's contact form, email, call, or text! We're more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
Do I have to come every week?
In short, no! We're an open-ended support group, meaning we have no set start date and no predetermined end date. Please come as frequently or infrequently as suits you best.
